Getting Back On The Wagon

Haven't posted since last Wednesday. Allow me to do a nice little recap. I am still at 256 lbs. Not really moving backwards or forwards. That pretty much sums up my feelings about my eating habits as well. I may have a solid day or two but then I'll go out and make poor choices. We have some family in town and you want to show them a good time but sadly my goals of eating better don't make it through the door of the restaurant with me. This week should be better. Stocked the house with groceries and we'll probably only eat out once. We'll see how that goes.

Excellence of Execution

Last night was pretty much about as well executed as you can get. Ate a very sensible breakfast and lunch and allowed myself a good dinner out with the wife and still managed to stay in my points total. Helped by cutting back on things I'd normally have done before like ordering a type of bread that may not be as good for you. Or just having soda which eventually leads to three refills. So yeah, not too shabby Wednesday.

Go Fatty. It's Your Birthday.

Didn't get to post yesterday as I was too busy feeding my face with cake. Monday we had a birthday get together with some family. It's a tradition for this one that we go to a local burger joint and then have ice cream and cake after. I did my best to plan around the eating that was going to take place that night. I even cut back on portions of fires and only had a single burger than the usual double that I get. Desert was what it was. Probably could have gone with a smaller slice of cake, but the biggest problem is that is carried over into Tuesday. We brought some of the cake home with us and sure enough I had to get me some late Tuesday night. We should have just thrown it out but we didn't. We'll see how this all plays out when i weight myself Thursday morning. Damn you cake!

Weekend ROUND Up.

This past weekend wasn't too bad. I'd say the worst it got was the wife baked home made cookies. So I might of had a few of those. Plus it helped that we live in a town where everyone eats out and there is at least a half hour wait at every restaurant. So it caused us to come back home with the kid and eat here. So doing better by default. Thanks a lot, people who never stay at home.

Do Work.

Finally got to weighing myself on Thursday morning. Two hundred and fifty six lovely pounds. I have no ambition to getting down to a buck eighty but I would love to be closer to that than two hundred and eighty pounds. This was a good thing though. Time to roll up the sleeves and get to work. Today was a good day. Hit my points right on the money.

Old People FTW

Wednesday was a crazy afternoon of running errands that culminated with lunch at my wife's work. Problem was we didn't dodge the old people crowd in the cafe. So have to decided whether we wanted to wait 20 minutes for something on the healthier side they have on their menu or jump over to the personal pizza line. We needed to be back to our table where our very crabby and hungry baby was waiting for us. So yeah we totally nom nomed on the pizza. Besides that the day went pretty well. I am so very excited to start working out. The weather is a changing and I should be freed up of my heavy work load in about a month. Good times. Tomorrow the weigh in begins.

Tuesdays Gone With The Wind

Wolverine is the best he is at what he does. Which for him is being a short, hairy, Canadian murder machine. I am the best there is at what I do as well. That is eat meat. Yesterday for lunch it was leftover ham with home made mac and cheese. Then for lunch we ended up also having some left over pork tenderloin and red potatoes. Servings on dinner could have been cut back better. Ended up going over the points by a few. It's what happens when the beast becomes unleashed.

Manic Monday

Monday was the start of a fresh week. And like every fresh week I say "This week I play for keeps!". Hoping that this is the week the terrible habits of over eating during lunch are kicked to the curb. I'm off to a good start. I hardly ate anything at all during the day which allowed for a decent sized dinner. Which was left over homemade burgers from Friday. I also did a great job of getting plenty veggies and fruits in. So yeah, way to go Monday. Only screw up was forgetting to weigh in. Which I also forgot to do Tuesday morning (Spolier Alert!). So Wednesday it is!

Everbody Is Working For The Weekend

Well Friday went great. Was able to limit the amount of food in the morning and afternoon to actually enjoy a burger on the grill and keep my total WW points under 30. Which is the goal. So how did I celebrate this accomplishment? By pissing away the weekend and not counting points. We visited some friends most of Saturday. We ate at a mall food court and then for dinner we had some home made stir fry. It wasn't the worst day in the world but several old habits kicked in and carried over into Sunday. Monday is a big day as this coming week I'm going to start posting my weight everyday. I wanted to take the first week and just post a typical week to establish how my habits kick in and hopefully starting tomorrow I'll start seeing what I am ACTUALLY going to do about them.

Daybreaker

Thursday, March 24th was another great reason for starting this blog. Woke up early and had a sensible breakfast. After a few hours at the house I ventured out to do some errands. The goal was to get home for lunch as we had stocked up groceries at the house and had some decent food to nom nom on there. What ended up happening was I dropped off some packages at our local UPS store and fell into the deadly trap of hitting the coffee shop next door. Once I got in there I noticed what looked like a delicious morning breakfast sandwich called a "Daybreaker". I caved in and bought one of those as well. End result, it wasn't as good as my mind thought it looked before it touch my mouth. The Weight Watchers points on that thing are pretty bad. I knew it, but after running around all morning I justified it to myself. Which is something I do a lot. Make excuses in my head for something I don't need but feel I do. The rest of the day I had to work my points total around this stupid snack that didn't even taste good. I still went over my points total which sucks as well. This is the kind of crap I need to really work on.

Hump Day

Wednesday is as Wednesday does. We got killed with a ton of snow so I ended up shoveling for two hours in the evening. So I'd like to think I burned some of my food off but I'm still hovering above my point total allowed for the day. Not going over terribly, plus there is the extra 35 points you get for the week but it's still not a good excuse. I ended up two points over simply cause in the afternoon I got a little overboard on the cashews and had two servings over one. Damn you cashews for being crazy delicious! For dinner we did pork tenderloin and potatoes. Which points wise is really good for dinner but when you add some french bread and butter that gets you ever time. But what a way to go.

That Didn't Take Long.

Oh Tuesday, you little minx. Had a great chance to meet up with some friends I don't hang with very often, so we decided to do lunch. We met at a cool diner in town where nothing on the menu is very healthy. I stuck with a little breakfast. Two eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Yeah, not exactly smart choices. At the end of the day I didn't do too much damage. I only went over a few points on my weight watchers chart. So not the end of the world but still, it wouldn't have killed me to put a little fruit or vegetable on the freaking plate.

It's On.

So the first real post on this blog and I have like five minutes to type it up. Monday was a decent day.

Breakfast- Special K Pecan cereal with a glass of orange juice.

Snack- A Fiber One bar.

Lunch- Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup. This is were I went a little bad. Got a little nutty with the Sun Chips. Technically had about three servings if you count what a serving is on it's packaging.

Snack- Grapes

Dinner- Dinner saved my fat butt as we had salads with chicken on them and a slice of sour dough bread.

All in all I stayed in my points total on my Weight Watchers tracker on my phone.

Testing Testing 1,2,3...

So yeah, this is my test post for what should be my own little piece of shame on the internet. After trying to figure out some home grown methods of dealing with body weight issues I've decided to use the site as a daily recap of all the crap I put in my body. Feel free to participate or run away in horror. I am going to try and start on Tuesday, March 22nd by summarizing how Monday March 21nd went. Some days I might ramble on and others I might just simply post the food info. We'll see how this goes.
